fraiser enters the sceene
Well, Niles ran away/got lost, so as per his promised, my bf bought me a new one. i didn't exactly want a new one, i really wanted niles back, so i thought i'd name him fraiser, going along with the theme (even though i never watched that show). well, yesterday, niles showed up again. this is not good because now i have three hamsters. i only wanted one!!
so i gave fraiser away to TJ, so he can have a hamster.
not much else. i decided that since my plan of being an annoying student so the teacher would leave me alone plan backfired (i.e., the teahcer likes my interesting insights) i decided that my speech topic would be "the importance of class participation" this ought to be interesting. I know i have him right where i want him. then he had to go and say, "he was biased" on my topic when he read it off, so you know now i have to have the opposing view, he's left me no choice. the best part is if he gives me a low grade because he doesn't like what i say, i'll take his trippin' butt to the dean. :-D aren't an evil student?
as for my other subjects, i have high marks. i have 80's, but the with his curving things, i have 100's and 110's etc. it's nice :-D
arabic, if i actually spent some time with it, i might be succeeding better. I guess the major problem i am having is not with writing the "weird" "letters" but in actually speaking it. since i'ma visual learner and really enjoy cryptanalysis, i'm quickly picking up how to read arabic letters, in only a few days time. but i don't know how to pronounce things well enough because the teacher wants you to "hear" it. not good for someone who has a horrible time with spoken instructions. i keep getting the guy behind me to write a vague english pronunciation, so thta i can memorize it from that. still can't roll my R's, much to the teacher's dismay, or pronounce the ayn or ghyn. they just don't appear in the english language and she keeps reffering them to german or french sounds (both languages that i didn't take so *sigh*) this i am going to locate something that resembles, "the idiots guide" etc. so i can figure this out. ARG blogger is all messed up, now that i tried to paste some arabic here. stupid noncomformists!
